Windows 11 Available Next Month

Microsoft announced that Windows 11 will be available on October 5th, 2021. The upgrade will be free and eligible for all Windows users. The update has easy-to-use tools that help users optimize their screen space and maximize productivity. With new ways of staying focused, connecting, and even PC gaming performance, this is the most advanced imbalanced software update Microsoft has ever produced.

In honor of this being the 11th iteration of the Windows software, Microsoft has released 11 highlights from the update.

  • New Design: Windows 11 design is modern, fresh, clean, and aims at bringing a sense of calm and ease to an overly stimulated desktop.
  • Start: the new Microsoft Start utilizes the power of Microsoft 365 and shows users their most recent files no matter what device those documents were viewed on.
  • Snap Layouts: Microsoft is introducing an even more powerful way to multitask with snap layouts that optimize users’ screen real estate into condensed columns and groups.
  • Chat: With communication and collaboration at the center of almost everyone’s work from home strategy, Microsoft has fully integrated the Teams application into the taskbar to provide a faster way to connect with colleagues and friends.
  • Widgets: Windows 11 will feature a new and more personalized feed through widgets powered by artificial intelligence.
  • Gaming Potential: Windows 11 will deliver the best Windows ever for gaming by unlocking the full potential of the system’s hardware and featuring technology like DirectX12 ultimate, DirectStorage, and auto HDR
  • Microsoft Store: In addition to other design updates, the Microsoft Store has been completely rebuilt with an all-new design making it much easier to search and discover new apps, games, shows, and movies in one central location.
